Last Saturday (September 26, 2009), a strong typhoon stikes some parts of Luzon. On that morning, I was planning not to go to school because of the weather. My mom told me not to go to school anymore because we need to go somewhere. But then I told my mom I will go to school. And she decided to go to the parlor while waiting for me. In the mid of our class, a guard entered the class and told that the class was suspended. My reaction was " Ano ba yan! Ilang hours na lang ngsuspend pa! Sana sinabi na lang ng maaga na walang pasok." When I reached the 2^nd floor of the school, " OMG! Ano ba yan!" my friends were trying to go home. So, I tried to wait for the rain to stops and for the flood to subside. In my bad, I failed I waited for several hours to go home. It was 2:00 when I finally decided to go home. Our driver and my brother fetched me because we live nearby. I rode a pedicab going home while our driver and my brother walked going home. I was standing in the pedicab. I was afraid to go home with flooded street because I have my book with me and I was afraid that It will get wet. But I have no choice so I decided not to think that my book will get wet just to go home. And finally I reached home!:)

    The story of my mother was, she was stranded at the parlor. Our driver can't fetched her because the flood was too high already that time. She also waited for hours just to go home and finally decided na lulusong na siya sa baha. And when she reached home, she immediately take a bath for almost 3 or 4 times. Because she was disgusted with the flooded water. After taking a bath, she told us her story. She told us that she almost drank the water because it was too high. Even at the parlor, the water reached the table of the first floor. Which the parlor ladies told her that it was the first time that they experience those kind of flood at their place. My mom was very lucky because she went home safe. AND THANK GOD!

    Last Friday (Oct 2, 2009), me and my mom went to Marikina. We went there because one of the clients of my mom their business was attack by the flood. And they were asking for help because many people doen't have food to eat. And my mom's client was doing was they were cooking foods for the victims. And she was asking for a little help. That's why my mom immediately accepted her favor. My mom ordered bilaos of puto for them to share it to some people. Before Marikina was one of the cleanliest city, but then now, when we went there, my god! Marikina was full of mud and dirts. We pitty those people because most of their things were destroy. They had it because of their earnings, and money are hard to earned. Now, they will all start from scratch again. Lucky for those people who survived some of their things, and most especially they were so lucky because they were still alive. We all know that there are a lot of people who died because of ONDOY. It very sad to know that not all survived.

    In the positive side, despite of the calamities we had. We really saw the generosity of the Filipinos. That in the middle of the tragedies Philippines had they were there to help each other. In terms of financial aids, food donations, clothes donations, and themeselves by volunteering.
